Dark Nebula LDN581 in Aquila
5 x 600 sec. guided on 7/20/07.
Equipment: 6" f/3.89 newtonian astrograph with MPCC coma corrector and SXV-H9 camera mounted on a G-11.
Processing: Aquired with Maxim D/L. Combined and deconvolved in AIP4WIN, processed in Photoshop CS with Noel Carboni's Astronomy Tools.
I like to call this the Cat and Mouse Dark Nebula. As you can see, there are still some autoguiding issues, and so the image is overprocessed to try to bring the stars back to round.
