Our Telescopes

We've got quite a few interesting telescopes in and amongst our club and its members. Here are some pictures of some of them.

The Brower ScopeThis is the club's primary instrument. It is a 16" f/5 newtonian reflecting telescope on a home-built equatorial mount with a tracking motor. The primary mirror has been carefully refigured by Colin Caissie, one of the club's excellent opticians, and has recently been recoated. It's mounted in the Brower Observatory in Whitefield, a pretty spectacular dark sky site.

Carl's scopeHere's a beautifully crafted mahogany f 4, 10 inch ref;ecting telescope built by Carl Schmidt and Tim Sherman.

Norm's telescope Here's one built by Norm Meyer.
