This whole damn thing started innocently enough when I was employed as the master of a sail training ship teaching celestial navigation to college students at The Sea Education Association, but now I'm in over my head! I like to read about astronomy, make telescopes, teach about the heavens, and now take pictures of the wonders of the night sky.
I'm particularly interested in CCD imaging now, and have just completed a 6" astrograph. You can see my images here.
I've also made several telescopes for visual use. Check out the ATM page.
I'm also president of the Central Maine Astronomical Society, a club here in the Midcoast Region of Maine dedicated to the advancement of the hobby.
Yep, It's an obsession all right. Oh well, what can you do but enjoy?
